We began by filming two shots of each scene at the main setting throughout our trailer. I then set down to edit each scene. I began by deleting each scene that we didn't need and arranging the others into the right order.
I began with the news report as i felt this would allow the audience to see why all the horridness was happening. I then had the ghost girl interupt the news report, i believe this showed her power within the scene. I then added an editing technique to make the report look like a film reel.
I then showed the babysitter arriving, this introduced the main character to the audience. After this i showed the parents leaving, this took the main protectors of the child away and left her and the babysitter in a very vulnerable state for the ghost girl.
After this I showed a series of shots showing the babysitter frantically running around being petrified and running from the ghost girl carrying Abi. This again showed how vulnerable the babysitter and the child was. I then took the shot where the babysitter was falling down the stairs and reversed it. I feel this gave the overall trailer an eerie feel.
My final editing technique was to add scary yet child like music to reflect the connection between the ghost girl and Abi. I believe this added a different feel to the trailer and showed that Abi and the ghost girl connected in more ways that one.
